What do ya'll think of Luther's new song, "Shine." (a.k.a "My Forbidden Lover"). Even though he's singing over the Chic track, it still makes me happy to hear his voice on this.

It's kind of fitting since he did so much background work with Chic back in the day.

Luther was not only a superb vocalist but also a kind, beautiful spirit. He was a gift to this world, a gift taken back too soon. He is truely missed.

I was with Romera on that day and I swear that wherever we went, one of his songs was on. It made it even harder.

I love his music so freakin' much.

I had my first heart-break at a really young age.
A day or so after, I was in my cermanics class, & "SuperStar" was playing on the radio. Man, when he sang "Don't you remember you told me loved me baby...",
it was at this moment that he became one of my favorite vocalists.

One of my fave concerts ever was a Luthor show. After he sang the first song, he began talking to the audience. Some female fan yelled out a song she wanted to him to sing. Luthor responded with, " Don't worry, honey, I'm going to sing all the songs you want to hear. I know that you guys paid to come & see me, & when it comes to your hard-earned money, I don't mess around."


It stills doesn't feel right that he's gone.

Luther Vandross was a Beautiful person.... and as a tribute to him i watched his Funeral the other day... it was truly a beatiful celebaration of his life.

I got the single, so I won't buy the compilation, because I got all of Luther's stuff including Best of Love vol. 1 and 2.
