I do miss spandex
I miss REAL dancin'....these girls could move. I've alwayyyyysssss have said that sucky music, yet fun music, has always been around. That's why I don't dog Lil jon and all of them because I still can groove to snap ya fingas...but there's just not the balance as was stated before. The other day, some retro station play l'trimm, cars that go boom and my daughter just give me an evil stare. She told me I could no longer say anything about "gettin' some head" by shawna or any other song. I sorta felt her on that one.

KatSkrizzle said: Oaktown 357???? I mean why are we discussig this Hammer pants wering era of rap? Are you REALLY serious? It's been my experience that there really aren't a lot of folk that are into Hip Hop on this site. And this video is just proof. Good God.
How about this...remember the white female that tried to have a rap career 15 yrs ago? Tarrie B? And no....not gonna reminisce and show everyone the video...and then say that she was the truth back in the day. Folks....we are truly showing our age.....this is what people said about OUR era whilst we were teenagers. I'm surprised no one got on here and threw in their Tori Amos, Enya taste havin butts and passed judgment on what "real Hip Hop" is.... Lighten up. Nobody's claiming they were hip hop messiahs. They were just fun.

This was my favorite Oaktown's 357 video. I remember not being allowed to watch their videos when I was a kid. I think I was about 10 or 11 when this was in heavy rotation on BET, MTV, and the Box. I always snuck and watched them anyway. I even remember memorizing the dance steps.

I remember when people wore spandex as everyday clothing. They werent biking or doing aerobics or anything. They were grocery shopping, going to the post office, and stuff like that. Those were the days.

Wow! I could see that with "Honey," but what was wrong with the others? "Whitney was purely and simply one of a kind." ~ Clive Davis

For every Juicy Got 'Em Crazy there was a "Fight The Power" by Public Enemy or a "You Must Learn" by BDP. In 2006, radio doesn't play anything to counter the fluff. It's all fluff. while that is true, doo-doo is still doo-doo whether it comes out with satin, or plain ole tissue it is still shit, and that is what this song is, plain ole doo-doo Alright I don't normally agree with you but you hit the nail on the head this time. I saw this video on tv the other day and sat there like I can't believe this shigitty was ever popular. And I love old school rap but this ...umm...no. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

What you talkin bout' Willis? I never liked Oaktown 357. They were ok as Hammer's back up dancers but as a solo act, not my cup of tea. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Wow! I could see that with "Honey," but what was wrong with the others? I was raised in a strict Christian family so alot videos were too risque for me to watch at that age (or so I was told). I remember my granmother not wanting me to watch Arsenio Hall either. I would always put the volume really low so she couldnt hear it and watch it anyway. I remember those days like it was yesterday.

Wow! I could see that with "Honey," but what was wrong with the others? I wanna see that video...thats the only 357 video I never seen. I am not African. Africa is in me, but I cannot return.
I am not taína. Taíno is in me, but there is no way back. I am not european. Europe lives in me, but I have no home there. I am new. History made me. My first language was spanglish. And I am
