the last great whitney houston song

first time i heard this, i was so hoping that this was kiss-off to bobby and her addictions..but alas it wasn't..it reads more like a kiss-off to her fans pout

(Verse 1)
I'm wiser now
Im not the foolish girl you used to know
So long ago
I'm stronger now
I've learned from my mistakes which way to go
And I should know
I put myself aside to do it in your way
But now i need to do it all alone

(Hook)
And I am not afraid to try it on my own
I don't care if I'm right or wrong
I'll live my life the way I feel no matter what I'll keep it real
You know
Time for me to do it on my own

(Verse 2)
It's over now
I can't go back to living through your eyes
To many lies
And if you dont know by now
I cant go back to being someone else
not anymore
I never had the chance to do things my way
So now it's time for me to take control

(Hook)
And I am not afraid to try it on my own
I don't care if I'm right or wrong
I'll live my life the way I feel no matter what I'm gonna keep it real
You know
Time for me to do it on my own

(Verse 3)
Oh, I start again go back to one
I'm running things in my way
cant stop me now I've just begun
Don't even think about
It there aint no way about it
I'm taking names go down the line
Yes I'm gonna take my turn
It's time for me to
Finally stand alone
Stand alone

(Hook)ad libs
I am not afraid to try it on my own
I don't care if im right or wrong
I'll live my life the way i feel no matter what I'm gonna keep it real
You know
It's time for me to do it

See I am not afraid to try it on my own
I don't care if im right or wrong
I'll live my life the way i feel no matter what I'm gonna keep it real
You know
It's time for me to do it on my own
you look better on your facebook page than you do in person hmph!

That song was not great. It was absolute crap. Songs from the just Whitney CD were lame and rightly ignored. I have every whitney CD out there and remixes, but I did not bother purchasing this cd. Love that man remix was the only thing I bought. Her last great song was from the previous CD.

Her pre-drug voice would've fucking shredded that song. I heard it and didn't believe it was her. After waiting so long for a new song, I got that? Please. My co-worker and I remixed it:
And I, am not afraid to smoke, it on my own..
I'll hit it from a pipe, or bong,
I'll smoke it any way I feel,
Just pass that dutch, and keep it real,
You knowwwwwooooowwwwwoo...
It's time for me to smoke it on my own...

When I heard this song, I thought it was a kiss-off to Clive Davis since this song was on the first CD she did without him. However, as we can see, she needs to give Clive a call fast and get him back into her camp.

IIRC, she already has. he's in charge of the new album she's working on.

EXACTLY. That song was a cry for help because she can't do anything on her own.

...which was supposed to be out last year....what the fuck is going on? Back on the topic, I really liked that song when it came out, in all it's AC Diane Warrenesque glory.

Agreed! I bought her last CD for my sister, who's a big fan,and she HATED it.It's the worst Whitney Houston CD of all.Totally lame and uninspired.

Unispired is the key word. At first, it looked like Whitney's "My Love..." albumw as going to tank until remixers gave it new life. On it's own, it was a fine R&B disc but with the remixers magic, Whitney was a dance pop queen. So what happened? On first listen, the album is tolerable but bland as hell. There should have been some more upbeat stuff on there and less syrup.
