Ya'll are assuming that everyone is a drooling Madonna fan. Sorry I'm not one of those so again I say I have no idea what the Rain video is. Of course, I still have the original printing of the album cover that was done upside down, so I always think of this image the other way around. Me too. It's still odd to me to see the cover the right way.

The pose I'm talking about is a retro pose that a lot of people have done. Yes, a lot of people have done Madonna's 'Bedtime Stories' pose before she did which was already shown in an earlier post.

I know that but that's not my point. And just for shits and giggles I just looked up the Rain single cover to see what people were talking about and that's not the pose nor the old fashined mic that I had in mind. these types of mics and she would actually be facing it and singing not coyly looking past it ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

she looks pretty....i just hope the rest of the cd can offer me something that sounds better than that horrid "ain't no other man" is it just me, or does that arragement sound like some old Michael Jackson outake from 20 years ago...it's a tune better suit to him than it is to aguilera

Horrid or not, a lot of people like it. It's already top 10 in the states.

Anything could signify being "basic" compared to the hoochie mama cover she did on her last album. Recreating a cover a lot of people seem to associate with Madonna (even though it's an often used pose) just seems well... uninspired or copy cat-ish so to speak. .
