Ugh at the Russ Parr morning show for doggin' Prince. WOW...
They didn't know what 3121 was...the called it some "obscure" song. I guess they don't invited to the parties AND they made a comment that BET had to give Prince an award so that he would perform.

I only caught the part I wanted to see....the Prince performance at the end. It was great but I wish I had turned the channel as soon as the host said "Goodnight". That way, I wouldn't have seen Prince lower himself to let a crapper come onstage and perform with him at the end. Prince and the entire band should have just walked off the stage and left him rapping alone like a damn fool. Andy is a four letter word.

i dont think there was anything wrong with will.i.am's freestyle. obviously, he had meet prince's approval or he wouldnt have been there. on the other hand, damon wayans was horrible as host. it was the worst hpsting job i've ever seen. his jokes were juvenille, stale, and ignorant.

I would have agreed to perform with him and even would have rehearsed with him just to be able to be on the show and get the exposure I wanted. However, when it came time for the actual live performance, that would have been another story. I would have walked my ass right off the stage as soon as he came on. I didn't care for his performance but the Chaka tribute was the bomb! Who the hell was playing bass? Dude was KILLIN'! [Edited 6/28/06 9:23am]

I wasn’t that crazy about 3121 performance either. I kept hoping he’d segue into something else. It broke my heart to see people leaving while he was still playing.
I did love P and Stevie with Yolanda, Chaka and India. That was like a dream moment. At times I really like to see Prince jamming as just another musician in the band and not the star. Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off

so does Beyonce win the so-called battle because she performed and janet didn't.
i'm still jealous of janet's ass. that's so unfair.

Ditto, man. I'm so glad you mentioned the bassist. He had me like throughout the Chaka tribute and Prince's set!!! Down to the last note on 3121, he was on!

no, you ain't alone--i loved the chaka tribute! that shit was awesome, man... and yolanda adams was on point! i'm surprised they picked someone who was just right! award shows usually don't do that. india arie was good to. although she could've been more forcefull. and back to Fantasia. She would be so much better if they would just allow this sista to have her own spotlight with her voice. i feel as if she's being constricted.

man! leave it to clay cane to rip beyonce a new one, this shit had me rollin!!
Where to begin ..... with the easiest target ... Miss Beyonce. Of course Beyonce had to open the show doing her awful song "DejaVu," which happened to be a dejavu of her 2004 performance of "Crazy in Love." However, instead of looking sexy and talented (I did like that performance of "Crazy In Love") she went for Battle Star Galactica meets Tina Turner as Acid Queen meets epilepsy victim performance -- HORRENDOUS ... Her gyrating on Jay-Z and him smacking her ass was extremely trashy without the “interesting” factor. What was funny is Jay-Z tapping Beyonce's ass was the most affection he has EVER showed her in public. Then we have .... I am laughing as I'm typing ... WHY IN THE GOOD-GOLLY HELL DID SHE THROW HER BODY TO THE FLOOR AND WHIP HERSELF INTO SEIZURES???? Sorry I couldn't find a pic, but I was screaming in tears because she was swinging her legs around like a rat on its hairy back - I couldn’t tell if she fell and tried to play it off or if she actually rehearsed collapsing to the floor and reverberating like her pussy was burning! Beyonce REALLY needs a break ... some yoga ... mediation... a trip to India ... because this tramp is delusional if she thinks shaking on the floor is dancing. This performance is already proving my theory true that this new album will not remotely touch Dangerously in Love.
