Ithink that was my favorite song from "Grease". The list overall is great. I mean, "Miss You", "Because The Night", "Last Dance", "You Belong To Me"....very good stuff.

eek Are you serious?? You don't know these songs??

***"Love Is Like Oxygen" is an excellent rock song with a memorable guitar hook (sampled by Sugar Ray on their 2003 single "Mr.Bartender(It's So Easy") and catchy chorus:

Love is like oxygen
you get too much, you get too high
not enough and you're gonna die
love gets you high

***My mother had the 45 of "Bluer Than Blue".It's a beautiful adult contemporary ballad with extremely sad lyrics...

I'm bluer than blue, sadder than sad
you're the only life this empty room has ever had
life without you is gonna be bluer than blue

***"I Can't Stand The Rain" is a disco-ish remake of the early 70s R&B classic by Ann Peebles.

***You don't know "Love Will Find A Way" by Pablo Cruise?? Dan,please go out and get a compilation by Pablo Cruise, trust me,you won't regret it!

***"Life's Been Good" is a silly song by one of the Eagles. The lyrics are hilarious lol it's more like a novelty song

***"My Angel Baby" is one of my favorites...a nice,late-70s ballad with a sparkling arrangement and a soaring chorus:

what's breaking is my heart
I can read between the lines
It's tearing me apart
You've got leaving on your mind

but you're my Angel baby
you're my Angel baby
yes,you're my Angel baby
for the rest of the night

***"Magnet and Steel" is one of the best songs of the 70s,period!! I once did a thread about this song. It's just simply superb,a perfect song! I'm demanding that you go out and find this song!!

The lyrics are funny because it's really a Joe Walsh solo tune...

...that The Eagles perform since he's in the band.

It sounds like a novelty tune within the context of other Eagles material.
But it's classic Joe Walsh. He's got a good sense of humor.

speaking of Joe Walsh,I recall his 1983 single "Space Age Whiz Kids",which I really liked alot. The video was all over MTV that summer, but when I mention this song to people, they have no idea what I'm talking about lol I guess it bombed as a single

Another example of Wacky Walsh humor.
Never saw the video, but if he had anything to do with it i'm sure it was a hoot. smile

I've liked his songwriting all the way back...

...to the James Gang era.

by 1978,many artists were adding a little "disco" to their songs.Seals and Crofts were a soft rock band, but their 1978 single "You're The Love" can be considered light disco, while The Rolling Stones added a cool disco beat to their 1978 single "Miss You".

I'll find the songs I said I wasn't familiar with to see if I know them. I'm sure there are a few I know by ear and not by title. Of course, I know I Can't Stand the Rain, but I don't think I want to know the Eruption disco version.

Eruption's version of "I Can't Stand The Rain" isn't bad,but yeah, you're better off sticking to the original lol incidentally, alot of soul purists hated what Amii Stewart did to "Knock On Wood",but I adore her version.
