I read somewhere that in August / September 2006 there's a new Jonny Lang album coming up. I can't find in anywhere on his site though.

Is there someone who digs Jonny and can confirm the news?

I just saw him live and they played like four songs from it which were all great. He explained that the album was originally due in May so this September date may be the real deal.

He was one of the on board entertainment bookings during my honeymoon cruise. At the time I had not heard of him. He sang "Ribbon in the Sky" to us (which was a song shared at my wedding) with just an acoustic guitar - BLOWN AWAY! I've been a big fan ever since. I remeber during Prince's 1999 rave gig he was calling for Jonny Lang to the stage, but he never surfaced. Did I remember that correctly?

I really like Jonny Lang. He's no genius like Prince but he's very talented. He has an amazing raw voice for his age. Jonny also recorded a composition by Prince from the album Wonder this World, called 'I am.'
You were right KissMeQuick: Prince mentioned Jonny on the Rave concert. He said: I heard Jonny Lang is in tha house. Come on up Jonny if you're out there" or something like that.
It would be great if Prince and Jonny would record something 2gether one day. Well, maybe in the future

I saw Jonny perform live a few years back. I think he was about 18 at the time. I could not believe the talent for such a young person. He really is awesome. I hope he releases a new cd soon and I hope he gets props for it too. He's a great guitarist.
