Public Enemy are the REAL deal. Chuck D, did good work on Raves, 'Undisputed' track with Prince, funky song. Hes such a cool guy, one of Public Enemys recent albums, he gave it away free on the net, now, he could have made easily a million if they sold it.

Aaah ... hip hop back in the day when it was FUN without white labeled bottles ... when dancing wasn't considered "gay", and women weren't reduced to garden tools.
Kwame, Salt 'n' Pepa, Kid 'n' Play, even Big Daddy King - all gettin' their swerve on.
Heavy held it down for the big boys, never missing a step alongside his sidekicks G-Wiz and Trouble T-Roy before the latter passed on. Still, these brothas kept it crankin' for a hot minute - Uptown, Nothin' But Love, Now That We Found Love ... think I'll throw on Peaceful Journey NOW. Thanks for the reminder. PEACE

Damn straight!

Heavy is trying to get a film produced. He's been trying for at least a few years now.

Does anyone else remember Heavy D.'s work with Soul For Real? I have the 'Candy Rain' single on cassette, and I still play it every so often...

That Candy Rain single was cool. I might have to cop it on half.com.
Since this thread opened up the OL' SCHOOL can, I've been lurkin' on CDNOW and forgot these classics:
We Got Our Own Thang
Don't U Know
Overweight Lover's in the House
Mr. Big Stuff
Somebody for Me {remix w/Al B. Sure)
Yeah, it was R&B mixed with rap; but, so what. It was "feel good" music. smile PEACE
