I have mixed feelings about that song. On the other hand I genuinely do like it, but it's a lot like PrinceĀ“s 1998-2001 output that's completely missing his own magic on so many fundamental levels, yet it still has great musical ideas and a decent melody.

LOVE this track. Like Gangsta says, a great album too. And I see what you mean, Nova. But 'Black Tie, White Noise' was definitely a step in the right direction. I think teaming up with Nile Rodgers was a great idea - they created a perfect 'pop' album. I wish they'd get together again. I have the best memories pf the year this came out (93) - I got into Bowie, Kate Bush and Prince all within the space of a year. Good times.

It's the first Bowie album I owned too.

It's the first Bowie album I owned too. Really?! I was definitely drifting towards his music. I don't know how it happens - the same thing happened with Prince - but Bowie had been popping up on my radar here, there and everywhere for a few years leading up to this album. Every time I picked up a magazine there was some reference to him. (I guess it's not unusual considering it's an artist of Bowie's magnitude). Plus, every review I read of BTWN said what a great return to form it was. And there was 'Jump They Say', of course... I LOVED that track. So I bought it and that was that... I don't know if it's for sentimental reasons or what but I rank this album very highly. It's great for Summer.

A great run of singles on this album. And Bowie was looking c o o l as a cucumber.

Definitely. Did you know 'Bring Me The Disco King' was written during these sessions? I've got a magazine interview from the time in which Bowie refers to it. I'd love to hear the BTWN version.

I'd love to hear the BTWN version. Yeah. I think he redid it during the "Earthling" sessions as well before finally settling on the "Reality" version. I can't even imagine what the others must be like.

I liked the song as kind of a guilty pleasure but screw that. It's a great track and the album is amazing too.

One track not mentioned yet: 'Looking For Lester'.
That is the sound of Summer.
