The Cheap Trick Thread!

Inspired by the thread regarding their new album, it's about time one was done about these guys. In the UK, they're a cult act, very few people know of Cheap Trick. I got into these guys about 10 years ago and now have everything they've done(cept the newie!). Heres my 10 fave cheap trick songs(in no order)

I Can't Take It
Are You Lonely Tonight(Way underrated tune!)
Hard To Tell
Just Got Back
She's Tight
Tonight It's You
Way Of The World
Southern Girls
Come On Come On
He's A Whore

they were my favorite band in high school
I saw them play an outdoor concert at a fair, so was close to the stage and came away with a Rick Nielsen guitar pick
I made a drawing of Robin Zander for my high school art class biggrin

Rudy

in no order:

High Roller
Way of the World
Voices
Need Your Love
Speak Now or Forever Hold Your Peace
Lookout (live)

My band used to do a full version of Dream Police as an encore. We crushed many other bands with that lol

I can't be the only one who thinks Surrender is one of the best pop songs ever written?

I won't list songs because I like too many. I'll go for albums.
In no order.
In Color - Classic
Heaven Tonight - Classic and a must have for any CT fan or beginner.
Dream Police - Great and also a classic but not as good as other two mentioned. Worth it for Gonna Raise Hell and Title track alone.
All Shook Up - People are mixed on this one but it's my personal favorite. It was produced by George Martin! Ya know, producer of The Beatles. It's a manic, dark and heavy record. Maybe that's why people are mixed about it. I think it's fantastic but I tend to like bands "weird" albums.
Rockford - New classic and that's saying alot. It's just CT doing what they best and it sounds great and not a bit tired from a band that has been around as long as they have.
Fantasy is reality in the world today. But I'll keep hangin in there, that is the only way.
