Derek & The Dominoes - Layla And Other Assorted Love Songs

How frickin awesome is this album? Clapton and Duane Allman battling it out on nearly every track, and Clapton's infatuation for Patti Harrison really comes across in songs like "Have You Ever Loved A Woman". I love this song. Also love Bell Bottom Blues, Nobody Knows You, Key To The Highway, the whole album is brilliant.

Show your appreciation.

I'm sure it's long been reconciled...

I love the album. The Layla Sessions 20th Anniv. box set is great. Three discs: the album, alternate takes, and one disc of nothing but spontaneous blues jams from the layla sessions. It even comes with copies of the original tracking sheets with sound engineer Tom Dowd's hand written notes. Dowd's liner notes are good too. I think better sounding remasters of the album have since been released, however.
