it is all about loud guitars, and people who cant sing, just screaming in a fast pace tone, so nobody knows what they are saying.

I agree with you on the rock music of "today" (from the little of it that I've heard). However, I'll take loud guitars at a fast pace and screaming that is hard to understand any day over "talking" that you can't understand over nothing but a stripped down weak ballad paced beat. Hell, even Lawrence Welk had more pep, rhythm, and tempo in his music.

If people weren't buying it then that would be the first sign but obviously people are feelin it AND buying it.

Wanna see where Chuck Berry left Rock? Bon Scott on ACDC's "Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap"

Want the beginning of Metal, Black Sabbath's "We Sold Our Soul for Rock & Roll"

Want faster?, pick-up Slayer's "Reign In Blood"

Want great "hard rock" musicians?, Led Zeppelin's "Physical Grafitti"

And if, after you've listened to this music, you can't understand the lyrics or still think it's all just loud guitars, let me know.

Metallica's 'Master Of Puppets' and G'n'R's 'Appetite for Destruction' are still two of the greatest albums I've ever heard, regardless of genre. Rock/metal is sooooo much more than just loud shouting and loud guitars. Don't get me wrong, like any genre some of it is utter garbage (especially today's stuff), but if you get the good stuff then it's real good. Get half a dozen Led Zep albums and see if it sucks.
