Favorite Jazz Recordings Anybody jazz fans in the HOOOUSE!!! After listening to many many hundreds and hundreds of jazz recordings. I decided to compile a list of my favorite jazz recordings(not the BEST...but MY favorites). Please feel free to list your favorite 25 or even your top 10 favorite jazz recordings.
NOTE: I tried not to duplcate any artsits, or the whole list would have been Miles,Freddie Hubbard,Herbie Hancock and Wes Montogomery(Wes doesn't make my personal 25 list but he is on my list of favorite jazz recordings below 25). Ok here it goes. Also note that a few of these records are out of print. I may come back later on and do a list of the next 25 or so favorite jazz recordings. Ok here's the list... 1. Chet Baker 'Let's Get Lost'; anything by Billie Holiday. Probably horrendously uncool to say it, but I quite like Diana Krall, All For You. And Diana is so boneable too!! Cute and talented - unbeatable!! (someone mentioned Pat Metheny: his 'Zero Tolerance for Silence' would definitely be my 'least favourite jazz recording', if that counts as jazz). | |
