Evelyn "Champagne" King Has A New Song on iTunes! Well isn't this a nice surprise!
I did my usual browsing on iTunes and guess what goodie I just found!?! A new recording by none other than Ms. Evelyn "Champagne" King herself on keyboardist Kevin Toney's new album Strut. It's called "Yearning For Your Love" and is a remake of the old Gap Band song. The album was quietly released on June 7th. Thank goodness we have the opportunity to download the track instead of buying the whole album. Long live the 99 cent single! Now excuse me while I go add this gem to my iPod playlist... The song has a very classy live feel to it.
Evelyn's voice sounds magnificent. It hasn't deteriorated at all. 
Really glad that she decided to remake this Gap Band track. It's a nice little treat for her old and new fans. "My heart...is yearning for your love...." | |
