Just heard the first 36 seconds of Beyonce's track. I'm settled. Janet gets this one.
This is the complete opposite...All is good(as far as dance tracks go) but the vocals. They're annoying.

just heard de ja vu...eh. nothing special, really. the vocals sound forced, like she's trying really hard to sound good. meanwhile janet's vocals are smooth and relaxed, very natural sounding. somehow...i can't quite explain it...janet's song sounds current and at the same time it sounds like some pop/rnb song from the mid-80s. the more i listen, the more i like it!

I'm going to buy both, you can like both, it's ok I promise. very different artists, I think anyway. They are just fighting for the same airplay spots. U know major stations are not going play out both records. Beyonce's record I hear is not going down well with listeners, even though I think it's the better of the two, although Janet's record is a non event, I think it sounds good on the radio next to Bow wow and Cassie, very now. when is the Janet only version coming out!

There's that hint of "Tell Me" in the bridge, that makes you wonder if its deliberate. It's either that or Dupree was listening to so much of their work that it just slipped in. I like the track but it makes me wish they had produced it, instead.

Knowing that it's a tribute would probably make me like it more.

I apologize if I already said this but I heard a little bit of Beyonce's new one and it's "Crazy In Love Part 3" ("Check On It" being part 2....I know I've psoted this before but it's worth posting again). I'm sick of her so I gotta give it up to Janet although it's not among her strongest tracks. It's safe so it might be a hit. I just hope she got some hard dance stuff and this is the only fluff.
