Leave Joss Stone alone. Her recorded output is shit, but she's a real talent and a breath of fresh air amidst all the cynical posers populating the industry at present. Some day she might even make a decent album. She's still only 18.

I think she is talented, but she comes across as really up herself and I can't really understand why.. It's annoying as people like Amy Winehouse, who have staggering talent and attitude to match are unheard of and Joss Stone is swanning around like the queen of England. I just wish she would bring out something good you know? I knew good music when I was 18, I just don't think her attitude and her music match.

Amy Fucking Winehouse!!! That bitch sends me to sleep. Her voice is a poor pastiche of Billie Holiday and Erykah Badu. Her music sounds like it was designed for elevators and answering machines with childish obnoxious lyrics thrown on top and as a performer she has no charisma at all. And that "attitude" you speak of is actually just the mouthiness of a brat. She has no more depth than Beyonce.

So far we havent got any "Analysis of" ""musical taste". Just Full on I think the guy is a jackass.

Ok - Jamie Cullum is the sort of guy you used to find harmlessly plunking away at standards on a piano in a distant corner of an overpriced pizza parlour. Then, recently, the music industry decided that bland was the way to go (see James Cunt - sorry, Blunt - i.e: not sharp), so they hyped the pizza parlour piano plunker. Unfortunately, they also got him to sing, and he really can't. Now, I'm not doubting his technical mastery of the piano, but Elton John he ain't. And then there's his voice - so utterly bland and devoid of character and emotion it sounds like software. In England he appeals to 14 year old girls and half-deaf grandmothers. In fact, his record company deliberately marketed his new album to girl schools. No kidding.

And yes, he is also a complete and fucking twat. Bring back National Service!!!!

This sums it up perfecly.End of discussion.

Hmm. I think I'll agree to disagree as I think Amy has a really unique talent. When you see her sing live she does something completely different to the album and I think she's very good musically as a vocalist if that makes sense? she really knows how to use her voice.

And now the truth comes out. You get the hots for him then you convince yourself he's a great artist just because you want his body. Record execs understand the female teenage mind and know exactly how to exploit it. He may be cute but his music is bland beyond belief.

Amy Whitehouse is Britain's answer to Advil Latrine. So which stupid twat asked the question?

Yes, they're very sinister people, record execs. British adolescent girls get Jamie Condom, British post-adolescent girls get James Cunt. Then they grow up and get married to Robbie Williams' Angels. The world is ending one shit singer at a time.

How to Market Jamie Cullum To Grown-Ups Part One:

Take cute pizza parlour piano player and get him to cover songs by "cool" (TM) songwriters - (i.e: by Pharell falloff, Radiohead falloff, Jeff Buckley falloff, et al) - to appeal to less discerning AOR listeners - (i.e: those who think "Sittin' On The Dock Of The Bay" is a Michael Bolton original, who take a lot of elevators and use a lot of shopping mall toilets with piped-in muzak). Trust me,it'll work. wink

No. I'm a 39 year old man that knows what he likes. I absolutely love JIMMY SCOTT and he's an ugly lil 70 year old jazz singing man. So don't try that logic with me.

As stated awhile back i dont get why such venomous hatred of the lad.

I mean post once and say what you think, but to continue coming back to the trough again and again just kinda makes what every valid point you may have had kinda moot.

Not necessarily. People respond to and counteract the venom with positive antidotes, which only serves to aggravate the venomous into striking again. Speaking for myself obviously. lol

Interesting to note that both of Jammy Cuntem's staunchest defenders on here are thirtysomething males who like to dress up as 14 year old girls. Which means that Cuntenm's marketing people have tapped into a hitherto unforseen market. wink lol
