"Call On Me" now has 44.699 million audience impressions according to Mediabase.
Pop 1077 Urban 1272 Rhythmic 1242 Urban AC 93 Hot AC 20 Total: 3704 spins BTW, the song has kinda grown on me. The intro and outro where Janet harmonizes with the "ooooh"'s sound good. Plus, the bridge is kinda nice where we finally hear her sing "Call On Me" in the same key as "Tell Me If You Still Care". However, this doesn't negate the fact that we need an uptempo dance single before the album's release. [Edited 6/26/06 2:43am]

....but it doesn't. Bullshit @ Janet trying to purposely mimic the vocal performance in the original song. Yeah right. Sadly, that's the BEST vocal performance Janet could've provided for that song. I know, everybody knows it, & you plus all her fans know it too...ya'll just in denial. I hear KHIA ( ) is on the next single, of ALL rappers...that "My Neck, My Back" broad. Janet is becoming cheap, more like iconic trash with every move recently. It's like she has to rely on all of the guest artists to come-up with a product that will sell. I KNOW that Janet isn't the best singer. Well, I like her voice, but obviously her voice isn't like Beyonce's. But I guess I'm a little annoyed that it appears from what I've read that she just wants to ensure that this cd is going to sell. There's nothing wrong with that, mind you. But I'm just getting this vibe that she is taking the safe-way out. It's like she can't do it on her own..or she can't stand alone, ya know? I dunno. I'm sure I'll buy the cd. I'm sure that there will be something that I like. I just think that Janet didn't need all of these guest performers like Nelly. I just think that Janet is afraid to take a risk at this point since Damita Jo was such a disappointment. Maybe she's right. It's like now the fans who were disrespecting Janet ON HER VERY OWN SITES with Damita Jo are all excited that she might have a hit. It just makes me sick. They could only kick her when she was down, but now they are jumping on the bandwagon or leading the way when just a few months ago with the release of Weekend, they were saying that she has another flop because THEY didn't like the song. Now that they like Call On Me, well it's great, wonderful, blah, blah, blah. Yeah... I guess Janet might be right. She had to come up with something commercial. It's too bad.

i would have prefered Weekend to be released. at least the remixes could have saved it You CANNOT use the name of God, or religion, to justify acts of violence, to hurt, to hate, to discriminate- Madonna

Not I. It was by the numbers the original. Now if anything has remix potenail, this does. It's kind of bland, but if the remix is tight, it could make the song a hit. Right now I'm not so sure. I don't think the idea of doing something different is all that great since frankly songs like this aren't always Janet's strongest. I'm not 100% sure how it's doing on the charts (I guess well find out in a few days) and how radioplay is, but Sirius is playing it a ton! I have the song on memo, so it I get an alert when it comes on another station. Sirius Hits 1 and Heart and Soul play it quite a bit, but Hot Jamz plays it the most. Yesterday, from 10AM til about 11:15 the song came up three times on all those different stations. I wouldn't doubt if a station like Starlite (which plays superstar pop, including stuff as upbeat as "Into The Groove") also picks it up. OutQ is also very good at supporting gay friendly artists.
