1. Crowded House - Together Alone My all-time favorite album

2. Crowded House - Woodface This should've been huge here in the US

3. D'Angelo - Brown Sugar Neo Soul at its best

4. Aaliyah - One in a Million The peak for Aaliyah, Timbaland, and Missy

5. Playa - Cheers 2 U An underrated gem

6. Mary J. Blige - My Life Anyone against sampling should hear this record

7. Michael Jackson - Dangerous MJ & TR doing the New Jack Swing! Sh'mon! Yep yep!

8. Neil Finn - Try Whistling This Obviously not as good as Crowded House, but fantastic anyway

9. Black Star - Black Star This one beats out P.E., Wu Tang, Illmatic, Biggie, Black Star solo albums, and Fugees as the best hip hop of the '90s IMO

10. Brandy - Never Say Never Her best record

OK, I couldn't stop at 10:

11. Prince - The Gold Experience
12. Guy - The Future
13. Blackstreet - Blackstreet
14. Lauryn Hill - The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill
15. Madonna - Ray of Light

Still no room for Radiohead, Bic Runga, Missy, Janet Jackson, R.E.M., and those other hip-hop records!

Abdul

In no order:

My Life - Mary J Blige

Crazy Sexy Cool - TLC

Enter The 36 Chambers - Wu Tang Clan

Illmatic - Nas

The Chronic - Dr. Dre

Only Built For Cuban Linx - Raekwon The Chief

Ready To Die - Biggie

12 Play - R. Kelly

Miseducation - Lauryn Hill

Doggystyle - Snoop

Hip Hop and R&B is all I listen to as a teen in the 90's, I couldn't stand POP and Rock back then

After seeing them live last night for the first time, I might have to put this one on my list. I had completely forgotten about it.

You have NO idea how much I love this album. nod

Years ago, someone played me the original version of "Credit in the Straight World" and I've been trying to remember who did it ever since...I even turned up no luck when I tried Googling it...the original is great, I'd love to find it again...

Come is a great album. I would've put in my top 10 but i forgot!

i was listening to it over the weekend...it's such a well put-together album, regardless of the circumstances. it's just short enough, just long enough, every element is balanced perfectly...it could have been a success for him if everyone's heads had been in the right place.

Cool to see this showing up so much lately.

Is it OK for me to put this on my list even though I didn't have my epiphany until last year? lol
