I'm in tears laughing at this one OMG WHY would you do this David?????

I saw the clip. MAN!!!!! It's a double-edged sword. We can all say that David Lee Roth hit rock bottom. BUT: at the end of the day, he has a RIGHT to perform those songs in one way or another. Bluegrass Van Halen is KINDA INTRIGUING. VEgas would suit him better, though. Get a KICK ASS BAND together (think Greg Howe on guitar, Gregg Bissonette on drums & Matt Bissonette on bass) and you got a start.I
SERIOUSLY DOUBT that Billy Sheehan & Steve Vai are available THIS TIME AROUND!!!

I saw it last night, it was scary, he still has it though.

I'm watching it with the sound off, but is that Carson from "Queer Eye" in front of everyone holding the mic??? [Edited 6/7/06 14:48pm]

carlcranshaw said: The sound mix on that clip is horrible. This is what happens when you age and all you have a little attitude to get you through. To really last in the record business you need a hell of a lot of talent, and even THEN, you're still not guaranteed a thing. God bless Dave, I kinda feel sorry for him, but this Tonight Show appearance is a lot better than the one where he was doing Vegas show tunes. God, was that a wreck! Some people tell me I've got great legs...

It was funny if you accept it for what it was at the time. In Van Halen's heyday (when the majority, if not all, of the quotes were made), he was the classic R&R clown. However those days are long gone. tA Tribal Disorder http://www.soundclick.com...dID=182431 "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn. C'mon y'all."

He was funny when Van Halen were at their peak. That's why I made sure to read every issue of Hit Parader and Circus when they interviewed him.

Are there any blue grass fans that could tell us what they thought of it. With the band he had would he have been better off writing original songs, or should the whole thing have been a write off? Now I'm older than movies, Now I'm wiser than dreams, And I know who's there
