god that's back in the day when we used hair laquer..freeze spray hadn't been invented yet!!!
I used to spend an hour a day on my hair...and get home in the morning to grab a couple hours of sleep and start all over. And Prince thinks he was fine back in the day.....sheeeeeit. What memories..I can't believe I lived through it! amit1234 said: Check this out and tell me their choreography wasn't the shit!

My favorites (in no particular order):
1. Point Of No Return 2. Let Me Be The One 3. When I Looked At Him 4. Seasons Change 5. I'll Never Get Over You (Getting Over Me) 6. Exposed To Love I listened to some of Gioia's recent work. What the hell happened? She went from singing some on some of the finest Miami/Freestyle hits of the 80's to shouting all over generic thumpa thumpa beats while looking like female bodybuilder. Absolutely horrid.

I traded in my copy of their Greatest Hits when I realized everything I liked was on this one:

![]() The second album isn't bad although admittedly "What You Don't Know" is basically "Come Go With Me part 2". I like "When I Looked At Him" more than "Seasons Change". But yeah, the first album might be the best freestyle album ever.

![]() It all pretty much went downhill from there, yes. That being said, I prefer their original verison of "Point Of No Return" (which might have been under a slightly different name like Exposed and with different singers). [Edited 6/17/06 9:44am]

But yeah, the first album might be the best freestyle album ever. On the third album, they were really trying to become AC darlings, no? "I'll Never..." really hit with the audience and was kind of what was going on around that time (post Wilson Phillips Califroniaish safe ballads, if you will). Is that what the album is like...didn't the second album also hint of that (I only have collections and I think I had their first disc).

Always loved them, one of my fave groups of that day with that sound. I really felt bad for them recently, they got together to play some shows and they wanted to do some new music, and because of a contract werent allowed to do anything else but Expose songs, so Gioia decided not to do the shows, not sure if they got another girl for these shows or just cancelled them. Gioia really HAD a good voice but she was never properly trained (listen up Christina, Beyonce and Jessica) she blew her voice out, and then developed some vocal chord issues from that, she had to have steroid injections to rebuild her chords but they were never the same, and by this time the managers replaced her, they were also pissed because she got pregnant too, which cost them a tour when they were on a roll of consecutive top 10's. But their managers Lewis Martinee, really bled these girls dry, countless hits in a short time span, tour money, platnum records, and as usual the ladies got nothing. "We went where our music was appreciated, and that was everywhere but the USA, we knew we had fans, but there is only so much of the world you can play at once" Magne F

[Edited 6/17/06 9:44am] I have the original 12". They were still Exposé. Original lead singer Sandée pursued a solo career after singing on that track and "Exposed To Love". She had a few hits like "You're The One" and "Notice Me".

And I'm a dirty bird. I always change the lyric to make them say, "I wanna take you in my mooooouuuuth!." ... [Edited 6/18/06 13:13pm]
