Some singers use the melisma to mask pitch problems...
But, hey, she probably sneezes more melodically than I sing on my best day. So, pay me no mind...

I liked her walking more than I liked her vocals.

I remember seeing this on TV....
I know some people might not agree but vocally it's not her strongest performance. There have been times when I've heard that girl in live performance give me the "Patti-chills" and make the hair literally stand up on my arms. This was not one of them. But mind you, she was younger here and her voice was not as seasoned as it is now. I bet if she took a stab at this now onstage, not onlywould I get goosebumps, but I'd probably have a coronary

Whitney herself was impressed, when she came on stage to give a thank you speech, she said that Christina was one who she truly enjoy in today`s music, and that she had done the best rendition of "Run to you" beside herself.
Now if feel like watching "The bodyguard" again
