I remember seeing Gino Vanelli live back in '79 at Cobo Arena (same place I saw the Prince Parade Birthday Concert). My friend's mom took us because she was in LOVE with that man. Dude was HUGE here in Detroit. The concert was off the hook. Man could SANG!

I gotta go find me a compliation or somethin'. . . music

Gino is one of my faves.I met a serious jazz musician a few years ago and he asked me about my musical tastes.I did mention Gino and he said that Gino had released a live cd years ago that is out of print and that it was one of the baddest bands he had ever heard.I don't know what album that was.I think it was a '70's show.I would love to have that. This was from a guy who only liked Coltrane,Davis,et al.

This one is available as CD and DVD .

This one is DVD only .

Both are available here :

http://www.ginov.com/Merchandise.shtml

Keep 2 things in mind :

1 . The sound has been done great !
Especially when you hear it on the 70's performance .
I guess this comes from Gino's personal instructions .
He wants quality for his fans .
He once did a unique live-show with a philharmonic orchestra here ,
and succeeded to polish the sound of the mastertapes from that concert back at his homestudio , before it went on radio-broadcast .

2 . The delivery ( might ) take awhile .
It finally arrived my address and the quality is great .
I don't know where you live but the base of the site is Gino's home-country , Canada .

Good luck & have fun ,
100MPH .
