The Village Voice's Genius Guide to JAZZ

Did any of you Jazz cats pick up the Village Voice last week? The cover story was the Genius Guide To Jazz with mini reviews about important albums by some of the jazz greats:

The John Coltrane Guide

The Billie Holliday Guide

The David Murray Guide

The Sun Ra Guide

The Thelonious Monk Guide

You are very welcome everyone. I'm no jazz expert (much to my dad's chagrin), but I knew that guide would interest a few people here.

lol

I've just barely scraped the surface of jazz in the last few years, getting the Verve box set, the Essential Miles Davis, basic introductory stuff like that and when my dad finds out, he's all over me, asking me to bring it over so we can listen to it on his stereo system. I'm like "calm down pops!"
