Well, he had his time. He realizes even himself that he had an impact on the pop music world a decade ago and now is getting older and cannot just continue rehashing the same thing. He never was a musician himself, rather a mere lyricist for the group of people who he employed as his "band".

He's not 80! The world of music isn't exclusively for teen pop stars to dominate. I don't think he did rehash the same thing with his music. I realize that there isn't really a market for him right now, but he's was/is a great writer and a very intelligent man. I know that he isn't a musician, but the music that was made with him is brilliant. He did write the lyrics and some of his lyrics are pretty powerful. He could quite possibly reinvent himself and rock again. The things you said here (minus the musician stuff) have all been said about Prince. He has reinvented himself a number of times and has even rehashed some of his old shit a few times as well. I still miss the wit, charm, intelligence and style of Manson. He just told it how it was. Probably the best cameo in the whole film.

Teri, Marilyn Manson was one of the first concerts I ever saw. It was at first avenue...I remember I ran into my high school crush there and we kissed...aww memories!
