This IS What I Call 'REAL' Dancing!

http://www.youtube.com/wa...0Ellington

Watch out for the ending's dance sequel lol

No choreography involved, everything seems spontaneous and natural.

Now that's my kinda steppin'.

Try 2 find some old footage of the Nicholas Brothers, if U want 2 see some other mind blowing dance.

SIDE NOTE: The last real dancing in popular music was, yeah I said it... in the late '80s - early '90s. Hip-Hop and R&B steppin' at it's absolute best ever, and based on a lot of old time jazz steps. Shit, my boys and I used 2 step our asses off. It's truly a shame that there is no steppin' in todays Rap and R&B, but then again... the music doesn't really make U want 2... does it?

Peace.

While they are jamming this is about as choreographed as it gets.

This is amazing. The moves are awesome. I do think it was choreographed, but nonetheless, it's REAL dancing.

Kind of makes you shake your head and wonder what those like Janet, Madonna, Britney etc think they're doing. confuse

Damn. Why so angry about a few dance moves?

Of course it's choreographed, and it was brilliant. The Lindy Hop had to be one of the most athletic forms of popular dance. They made it look incredibly easy in that clip. Unbelievable.

The Nicholas Brothers...

Who cares whether the original clip posted was choreographed or not. The sequence was hot.
As with all truly great dancers, some percentage of improv is inserted within the choreography.

And just for pure fun...

U should rent "A League of Their Own". I'd pay gobs of money 2 see Janet or Britney even attempt that number Madonna does at the road house.

Theres gotta be one in every bunch...someone must have pissed in your Gerber babyfood...here's a quick lesson for you.....back then...EVERYONE danced like that..the clubs were FULL of dancers Lindyhopping...He more than likely picked the best ones and told them to do their thing...the only choreography was probably telling them what angle the camera was shooting from and when to end it.

No need to hate...APPRECIATE! The fact that it's choreographed means that it took lots of time, practice and skill to make those moves seem so effortless. That's how it's done, Einstein! rolleyes

Why is there even a question rolleyes They were MAGNIFICENT dancers, athletes with grace - & since when does choreography make or break a dancer? To those who haven't seen a dance troupe perform it's ALL choreographed & they are indeed true dancers exclaim

the Sammy & James clip: AWESOME!!! & can I say what a nice looking man James was without the conk? omfg He really was kinda handsome, but w/ the conk he just looks like a greazy fucker lol

the Stormy Weather clip: omfg omfg omfg I've seen Stormy Weather a couple of times back in the day but this didn't stick in my mind - those STAIRS man!!! How on earth did they not break something?? eyepop THAT was sheer brilliance clapping
heart prince I never met you, but I LOVE you & I will forever!! Thank you for being YOU - my little Princey, the best to EVER do it prince heart
