Have you heard it yet? It probably won't be that bad. Overprocessed and all but expectations aren't that high for her so people will overlook that.

She has to her advantage the fact that no one takes her seriously. It worked for me 'cause I kinda liked a couple of the tracks that were posted here a month or so ago.

Well, considering it's a great rock/pop band like Blondie, I guess I can understand why one would feel a little sick to his/her stomach. lol No one can touch Debbie Harry.

I agree. But I think that was a good move on the part of her people. Not a very hard song to do but it's a good song...almost foolproof in that regard. And what better way to move towards being taken seriously than to do Blondie?...if you can pull it off.

I'm curious to hear.

well like i said before, she is going to do well and that is quite sad. Its not sad from a stand point that its Paris Hilton or a celeb doing a record, I mean JLO has sold Millions and we cant forget past celeb work like Eddie Murphy, Don Johnson, Scott Baio etc, so lets be real here. The thing that is so sad is the marriage of Media forums, Paris just finished this Video, and bam it was all over the world in a minute, AOL had it posted. So i mean its not even about your talent anymore at all, and i think thats the key word here, "anymore". Everything is about your marketing and press agents and this one and that one. Thats why people dont go to concerts anymore, they see these people 24/7 who cares, there will be someone just like them next month. It really is a shame though but the days of the artist are just about over, they are still there, but u really have to search.

I can't believe people are actually digging the new single ("Stars Are Blind"?). It's just blah...Did people really expect it to be the worst thing in the world?

I don't think I care what she does to "Heart Of Glass". As for "Do You Think I'm Sexy", one show had clips of her "performing" it. All she did was say "Sexy" seductevily....what a song. Then she said "Bring Rod Stewart back" and it just hit me....her new best friend is Kimberely Stewart...How fucked up is that.

Does the "Heartbeat" have anything to do with the song by Annie?

Apparently radio is really plugging her new single already. Radio will play Paris Hilton, but totally ignore the likes of Prince and Madonna.

So the question is, does a hit single really mean anything anymore. confused

That would suck but I assumed if it was a cover, it's possible that it could be the Taana Gardner/Seducation verison, although that's probably not her speed at all.

Good question.
Sinatra asked this question, so did Elvis, I'm sure the Beatles did. It will always be asked.
Here's the scary part, though: One day Paris is going to ask this question too.

Can you imagine how much money and/or endorsements she's handing over to accomplish this?

Well that is exactly the point. There is so much bought and paid for with this. To make a better example lets take the new Janet Jackson record that is coming out later this year, first the promo team will take over and im sure thats going to be a good 10-20million just in promo/ads stuff like that. Next obviously there is the first video, and im sure that will have a huge budget because it has to show the world u are back , so tack on another million or so, then of course there are promo spots and appearances, more millions, and when you think about all of the things i just mentioned, none of it has to do with music at all. So lets just say about 20 million goes into just the Promo for this album, the record would have to generate about 60 million dollars just to break even, now u know why labels are always talking about losing money and raising prices of CD's, its so we can help pay for all this other crap that has nothing to do with music. If u cut out all the Promo and Video budgets, a CD would probably sell for about 5-7 dollars, just like a record used too.

6. Fightin' Over Me-Feat. Fat Joe & Jada

#1,000,001st reason that Hip-Hop Culture and Rap Music is D-E-A-D.

It's kinda like in the 70s, everyone schlock personality did a disco album. Ethel Merman for instance. This is the modern day version, yes?

I doubt she can really pull off Heart of Glass. You have to be confident and truly sexy like Debbie Harry was on the original. It cannot be faked. In order to truly be sexy, you have to have a soul and some intelligence.Methinks the lass has neither. The guys that slept with her and sleep with her just want a hole.Really, any hole will do.It's like being with a cardboard cutout of a woman.I'm sure she's not a bad person inside, but I can imagine having a better conversation with my guitar than with her. One day, when she tires of whoring for fame(will this ever happen?) maybe she can step back and truly grow. Maybe,in 10 years she can re-do Heart of Glass and I may believe her.

I seriously hope Fat Joe & Jadakiss did their cameos over the wires and not actually side by side with her in the studio, they have street cred to think about? So much for never selling out confused .

Possibly but why couldn't they even do that to Lindsey's album....Her second release got less airplay than the first and the first hardly got any! That being said, I find it strange that people are saying "it's not so bad", so prehaps they are gearing up for the full tilt of playing the song at least every hour! I wouldn't be shocked. We'll have to wait and hear.

But here is something interesting....apparently "Hips Don't Lie" was like the most played song on radio EVER yet Sony kept waiting to release the digital single becuase they wanted the album to sell. So while the song got a massive amount of radio airplay, it didn't go higher than 9 on the charts...and why? Well, when it was released as a digital single, it went gangbusters (hell, I would have bought it if my computer didn't suck) and went to number one on the BIllboard 1 as well. So apparently digital singles, which are selling really well, are definately more controlled by the people (although some people say stuff like the record company buys a lot of downloads but I highly doubt they do that since a number one song doesn't have the status it once had). So the song and album's success is really going to depend on people since radio has kind of lost control of the charts.
