Awyeah , Miss Toni/Tonni Smith with the goldglitter armglove .
I remember her doing another great song ( "Martha" ) from that same album .
And of course on Tom's following albums she sang on jams like "Thighs High ( Grip Your Hips And Move )" / etc

She also appears on a few songs like "One More Minute" from funkgroup MARZ ( 1982 )

Sometime ago she had her own site which is offline now .

funkpill finding the classics...

man when this song came out i remember trying to find out who the female vocalist was on it (because she sounded an awful lot like the one & only Chaka in places...and i was(and am) a Chakaholic and was always on the hunt for anything she did.). Obviously it turns out it wasn't Chaka after all (ms Smith did her thang' though without a doubt), but this jam was yet another straight-up all time CLASSIC that you can STILL bump at a party.

funkpill don't know how you are finding these timeless timecapsules but keep em coming...fun stuff
