Why on earth would I put that into my consciousness? I'm sickened by the number of acquaintances of mine who have seen it. When I ask why, they always respond the same way "I was curious." or "I wanted to see if it was him."

WTF is going on when it becomes not only acceptable, but the norm, to be "curious" as opposed to outraged as a response to child pornography?

WHY would you intentionally watch a grown man have sex with and piss on an underage girl?

I think I lot of folks wanted to judge for themselves if it really was R. and if the girl at least looked to be underage. But I agree with you. I'm still barf that soooo many people have watched and even purchased this video.

We all should know that diversity makes for a rich tapestry, and we must understand that all the threads of the tapestry are equal in value no matter what their color.

Truth be told, black fans of R. Kelly are as complicit as a corrupt legal system. Blacks should've cut all ties with him, when this became public. Instead, we've bought his CDs in droves, played his songs -- even in church, which is where he began his campaign for public opinion -- and treated him like a punchline.

That kind of support sends a message to young girls.

In Wal-Mart, I've heard middle-aged mothers of teen girls rave about getting R.'s new album.

That sends a message to young girls.

A 25-year-old female friend of mine -- well aware of Kelly's issue, mind you -- was talking last night about how much of a musical genius he is. She didn't want to hear my points about him being sick. Her point? If you hold Kelly's issue against him and boycott his money, you might as well boycott everybody.

That sends a message to young girls.

If more black women aren't going to raise a fuss about Kelly -- and by that, I mean picket at his promotional appearances and concerts, employ NOW and other groups and hold him and other folks accountable, why should anyone else care?

By the same token, black men around Kelly ought to have distanced themselves from him, when the charges and tape first became public. One way to acknowledge the violation of social mores is to stand up for the victimized. We do it in other situations. We should do it, in Kelly's case.

And send the right message to young girls.

Damn Thready, I fucking LOVE you for this one touched clapping worship

The video has to show him, singing pee on you whilst the girl who is being peed on is holding up 3 forms of ID proving shes underage, and a cop has to be watching. Also 4 or 5 of his friends have to be watching and taking notes, whilst his grandma is their to verify. "Thats my Robert always peeing on people, dont forget her hair"
