Why on earth would I put that into my consciousness? I'm sickened by the number of acquaintances of mine who have seen it. When I ask why, they always respond the same way "I was curious." or "I wanted to see if it was him." WTF is going on when it becomes not only acceptable, but the norm, to be "curious" as opposed to outraged as a response to child pornography? I think I lot of folks wanted to judge for themselves if it really was R. and if the girl at least looked to be underage. But I agree with you. I'm still  that soooo many people have watched and even purchased this video.

By the same token, black men around Kelly ought to have distanced themselves from him, when the charges and tape first became public. One way to acknowledge the violation of social mores is to stand up for the victimized. We do it in other situations. We should do it, in Kelly's case. And send the right message to young girls.
