Monica's fans will be patiently waiting for her next album, whose title has recently changed from Street Butterfly to Raw. The album is set to drop in summer of 2006 and is said to feature productions by Jermaine Dupri, Bryan Michael Cox, Dallas Austin, Warryn Campbel], Sean Garrett, Dre & Vidal, Missy Elliott and The Underdogs and guest vocals by Young Jeezy, Twista, Dem Franchize Boys and Mannie Fresh. Recently, two new tracks, "Everytime The Beat Drops" and "A Dozen Roses", leaked to the internet. It has been confirmed that they'll be featured on the album.

Monica discusses New Look & New Album

" Monica called me yesterday. It seems a sig that I found on a fansite , www.monica-arnold.com , and posted on my site Monday was being mistaken for the album cover from Monica's forthcoming album and was being posted on message boards. Monica said she hadn't seen the sig before execs from J Records called her and told her the fake cover had originated from my site. My apologies to Monica and J Records for the confusion.

But that wasn't the only reason she called. Monica, who's been working out with a personal trainer 4 times a week, has a bold new look to go with the new title of her upcoming album: RAW. The decision was made to change the album title from "Street Butterfly" to "Raw" because there were no tracks on the album titled "Street Butterfly". The original title was a poem she had written.

"Raw" is slated for a Summer release. Meanwhile, Monica confirmed that a new track which was leaked last weekend by a local DJ is on her new album. She said "Beat Drop", a snap song which incorporates the "Grillz" beat, was made for the kids. She wanted to give the kids a Summer anthem. She wasn't upset about the leak at all.

From Sandra Rose: Monica to Throw 27th Birthday Bash For Rock

Next Wednesday, December 28, R&B Diva Monica will throw a 27th birthday bash for her fiance Rock -- and you're all invited! The party will be held at the Body Tap. I spoke to Monica by phone a few days ago (she got my number from her sister-in-law Kenya Hill). Monica is so sweet and so down-to-earth. It is easy to see why she has such a large & loyal fan following. Monica said she planned to go on the radio to invite all of her fans to come party with her and Rock next Wednesday. This party will be off the chain!

I asked Monica about little Rodney Ramone Hill III, and she said the baby is 7 months old now and he is very active. We also talked about her upcoming album and Monica revealed the title of the much-anticipated and long awaited album is "Street Butterfly". Yes, I am a fan just like you are. I told her I couldn't wait to hear her album. She said she's still in the studio working on it and it's almost completed. Monica added that she wanted to release the album next spring because her baby will be older then. I know Monica's fans will make sure "Street Butterfly" goes platinum whenever it's released. Also its reported that Monica was on ATL radio talking about the new album. Mentioning that she is currently in the studio and has recorded a track with Warren Campbell that brought tears to her eyes. The album is almost complete.
