Nelly Furtado's Loose has leaked. It is gonna be the best pop album of 2006 IMO Great album! It Flows great! Timbaland did a great production job!
Shame she doesn't have no Portuguese tunes this time! But Wtf...it's great nonetheless! [Edited 6/6/06 9:55am] Gonna start saving my pennies to buy it! [Edited 6/6/06 9:58am]

I'm scared for this album.
I adore Nelly Furtado, and when I heard she had a new single out, I was all Then I heard it. Someone tell me what the irony is, because I refuse to believe that she really took time off from the industry to be a real person, then returned only to be a Gwen Stefani/That Chick From Black Eyed Peas. I have the same views as you. I love Folklore (maybe the only orger that loves it here!), but judging buy my first listen it's a great album...But it's not the first time an album loves interest.

Nothing on this record (with the possible exception of Say It Right) is as remotely catchy as Promiscuous, which gets by on its sleazy, percolating beat. I suppose the novelty of this record is that they're both whores and not afraid to admit it. Cute concept. But maybe not so cute coming from Nelly Furtado.
The funny thing is I really respected Nelly prior to this record. She wrote actual lyrics, actual songs. It's clear she is desperate for a commercial revival after Folklore. If it takes wearing midriff-baring tops, poor SNL performances, and acting like Fergie, I guess that's what it takes. It will pay off in the short term, but I don't think things are sitting well with her fans. [Edited 6/6/06 16:15pm]

My thoughts: I'm still waiting til the 20th to listen to it. If I listen to anymore leaked tracks now I'll get lazy and won't cart my booty down to the store on Tuesday to get her a soundscan point.

I thought the same thing when I saw her latest video. I like Nelly, but she's becoming just like all the other so-called singers.
