Make a TIMBALAND playlist I was going back and listening to Tim's "Welcome to Our World" album earlier today, and was reminded on how awesome his tracks were. That eventually lead me to go back and listen to tracks from Missy Elliott's "Supa Dupa Fly," along with Aaliyah's flawless "One in a Million" album. I'm about to head on a trip soon and thought I should go ahead and get a head start on putting together a Timbaland playlist with tracks produced by him on my iPod, for old time's sake. It's been 10 years since the "Timbaland Sound" started bumpin' though some speakers. Why not?
Here's something I'm thinking about throwing together. Add What About Us by Total (the version on the Soul Food soundtrack, not the remix from Kima Keisha and Pam) and you're set!

Timbaland's one of the best beat makers ever. You'd need to include more Jay-Z stuff, like "Dirt Off My Shoulders" or "Big Pimpin" (or even "Hola Hovito"). Also, the Lox's "Ride or Die Chick", Cee-Lo's "I'll Be Around", and Justin's "Cry Me A River". Also, Ludacris and The Game have used great Timbaland tracks as well. | |
