Beyoncee Knowles in Goldmember acting sucked! I must admit i loved seeing that tight ass body of hers on the big screen but her acting was just terrible and boring IMHO.Probably worse than Prince's in the first 30 minutes of Purple Rain don't you think?
Goldmember is the best movie I have seen this summer without a doubt! " could I be... the most beautiful man in the world! plain to see, i"m the reason that God made a man!"UNIVERSITY OF MICHIGAN GRADUATE! VERY PRESTIGIOUS!

Why am I not suprised? This is why I'm not going to see it. Hate films like this anyways...

you gotta cut her a bit of a break, it's not like the movie's gonna win an Oscar for "Best Screenplay."

I haven't read one good review for this movie yet. Not even a lukewarm review. In fact, one review I read said that if you absolutely MUST see this film, pay to see a better movie then sneak into Goldmember so you don't waste your money. Talk about going out of your way to dis a movie!

Like it or not, Goldmember set the record for a comedy film in its opening weekend. Made tons of money - the exact figure escapes me at the moment.
Beyonce was terrible. Thank God she wasn't onscreen much, and when she was, they showed more of her chest than her face! Overall, she was better than Heather Graham. That girl may be pretty but she's as dumb as a rock. I mean, like, where is the sun?

Out of all the movies...AP2 was the best and Heather was the best leading lady. Beyonce was ok...but it seem to me that the gags were forced this time around.

The movie made over $70 million this past weekend, which is a record for a comedy. It's a safe bet that there will be yet another Austin Powers sequel.

Went to see REIGN OF FIRE. A very cool sf/monster-type movie. Highly recommended if you want movie with a story to tell (devoid of product tie-in). Also saw MINORITY REPORT the week before. While also a tight piece of sf (Tom Cruise wasn't half as annoying as he was in Vanilla Sky), there are numerous porduct tie-ins(WHICH I FIND DISCONCERTING). This is a future where they "broadscape" advertise commercials by projecitng images along the walkways and buildings.
That Vivica Fox/Morris Chestnutt bomb from earlier this year Two Can Play That Game was on HBO past couple of weeks. I found this annoying and bothersome. Full of product placement and a script fullof of too much expository dialogue. Fox vacilitates between her character and the narrator so often you never get a feel for her ability to act. It's just another "Watch Buppies date" movie. Oh, the women are gorgeous, some lines are actually funny and the music cues are nostalgaic, but there is only the slightest hint of dramatic structure and absolutely no sense of character developement. I can't figure out why this film had to be made, but the various products mentioned and displayed (a key "plot" revolves around a Coca-Cola promotion) probably paid all the production costs. So even though it bombed at he box office, everyone probably still got paid. test

Goldmember is the best movie I have seen this summer without a doubt! Yes she is a good looking woman but she starred in some hip hopera on MTV and her acting sucked in that too, but the red dress was fly!

I think her purpose served just to promote the movie, although I haven't seened it yet, but I read a couple of reviews and they said they focused a lot on her body and that she mainly functioned as 'eye candy' and that's it.
She did say in an interview that she watched all of Pam Grier's movies over and over, and that Miss Foxy Brown was an inspiration for her when she played the character in the movie, since she was supposed to represent women as they were in a blaxploitation film... ??? Sorry, but having breasts does not make an actress talented, no more than it makes a singer talented. Any woman who acts in this type of movie is going to be purely there for eye candy. What are you women complaining about? You get to stare at the hotness that is Fat Bastard!
