The Devil's Picks All Music has an interesting list up to, umm, honor the number of beast. Some of their selections:
Black Sabbath - Black Sabbath Devil's Right Hand - Steve Earle Angel of Death - Slayer The Number of the Beast - Iron Maiden Hotel California - The Eagles Me and the Devil Blues - Robert Johnson The entire list is in the link, but no mention of these fellas... Other choices?

I was listening to that song Broken Boy Soldier by the Racontuers this morning and Jack White makes his voice sound like Satan on it. It was creepy. So the devil picks that song. It's also the best rock song I've heard this decade.

Other choices? Ooh it's a Misfits day for sure. Devilock, Green Hell, Demonomania, Hellhound, and Devil's Whorehouse are all fitting for today. And why they didn't list "Stairway to Heaven" played backwards is beyond me. "I saw a woman with major Hammer pants on the subway a few weeks ago and totally thought of you." - sextonseven

I own not a single album by Iron Maiden. Should I give Number of the Beast a listen?

My favorite goth band and one of the greatest of all time. http://www.myspace.com/fi...henephilim

Check these albums out by the late, great Rozz Williams for a satanic fix:
Christian Death - Only Theatre of Pain (1982) Shadow Project - Dreams For The Dying (1992) edit: I'm not saying that Rozz was satanic, but these albums are very dark and satan does get mentioned once or twice. [Edited 6/6/06 13:10pm]

If Dan is gonna buy a maiden album I would suggest the first two just beacuse of the blistering energy. [Edited 6/6/06 13:10pm]
