this girl is so FULL of herself it's sick. You know all she can do is sing, she has no stage presence whatsoever.

Let me guess how it will go down:
stage full of dancers (you know she CAN'T dance)
number of costume changes because claims to be a "diva" which in english is a snooty bitch!!
a few no-name rappers who got nothing else to do.
and her singing with her hands and fingers

gee line me up for that, I could stay home and watch one of her predictable videos!!

Mariah put some clothes on, learn how to dance and sing at the same time, and play an instrument for Gods sake, then you might get some "live" crediabilty

She's toured a couple of times but I don't know if she's toured overseas. I'd like to go but I could see myself getting bored.

UH! anyone who says Mariah has no stage presence has obviously never seen her live!!!

She is AMAZING live and really does connect with her audience! In fact I would say that if you aren't too keen on her, that seeing her live would change your mind...

I think the problem is that people spend so much time trying to find reasons to hate her, because that's the 'cool' thing to do.. but actually if you bother to get to know her music PROPERLY and go see her live, then you might see beyond what the press want to portray...

Yes she wears skimpy clothes.. but why the hell shouldn't she... at least she has the right curves to pull it off! Why are people so hard on her about her short skirts.. I wear short skirts.. does that make me a slut!!??

No she can't dance, but she doesn't pretend she can!! And why does she have to dance anyway.. it's not like she needs to hide behind an over-the-top dance routine in order to prove herself or hide the fact she can't sing!.. ala J-Lo, Britney...

Mariah is a top class vocalist and performer with a great personality and sense of humour.. she is able to laugh at her own ludicrasys unlike most big artists... and yet people still love to hate her..

Oh well, their loss IMO... she is and always will be the greatest female singer for me regardless of what any haters might try and have me believe. She has proved herself time and time again and she is now enjoying a successful moment in her career after a long period of drought... I personally think she deserves all that she has achieved if only for the fact that she works her ass off for it.

I have met her on more than one occasion and she is nothing but lovely and down to earth... she is a girly girl, but not ashamed of that.. she loves pink, butterflies and playing dress up!! So f***ing what! There's enough 'tough' women in the music industry to last a lifetime.. why should she not be herself just because it's uncool?

Thats why I love her so much, because she is true to herself in everyway.. she knows full well what the press say about her, and her dress sense, but she doesn't care and so she carries on regardless.

So get over it... and stop worrying about someone you 'hate' having success... Surely you must have some better ways to spend your energy.

yes mariah is a singer but she's no performer and she's WAY TOO self conscious and awkward onstage. she looks like she has to pee or something. she does seem to know she can't dance and keeps it to a minimum but mostly live she's crap because there is hardly any differnce between the recording and the show. the trills and squeeky cow stuff are in different place but mostly its pants.

and i agree she up here own ass - and for no good reason,imo.

y'know... i don't personally know of a single person that has seen Mariah live. what i've seen on television/dvd of her concerts, i'll have to pass. i mean if tickets were $30 general admission, i'd consider it. and haven't her tours always been cancelled or at least half way through the tour?

i'll stick to listening to her cds and the occasional televised performance. they seem to be the same performances anyway. and if she's so stuck on the "i'm a singer" vs. theatrics then she should perform in concert halls with a nice dress sans thigh high slit and belt out her songs. no dancers, or hydraulics stage. i'd rather see her at a concert hall than an arena show.
