Any of you folks ever hear of a dance/electronic/house artist named Herbert?

I just checked out his latest album "Scale" last night, and it is PHENOMENAL.

It's kinda housey and kinda brit-pop-ish, but at the same time it's EXTREMELY lush and disco-ey, with great female vocals and strings/orchestra (the real thing - not sampled!).

The whole album is one big happy dance - lots of energy, but at the same time very beautiful...almost elegant, though very camp and fun.

Great stuff. Worth a listen!

picking this up today...if you dont have his Body Function pick it up...its bjork meets jazz meets house.

My favorite album is 'Around The House', also with his wife Dani Siciliano.....looking forward to hear the new one!
Matthew Herbert is also the mastermind behind Roisin Murphy's 'Ruby Blue' from last year, which is also a must-have!
