Soundalike songs

What songs sound a LOT like each other, perhaps but not necessarily approaching plagiarism?

I think one of the most copied songs is definitely The Emotions' Best of My Love. Alton McLain & Destiny made a song called It Must Be Love that was virtually the same track.

Another soundalike pair: How Will I Know (Whitney Houston) & Who's Zoomin' Who (Aretha Franklin)

Post your soundalikes!

Mariah recorded a track called "Emotions" that was a rip off of "Best of my love" then got sued. damn song title gave it away.

Evry Rich Harrison track sounds the same

Keeping it current, I'll say...

Lo-Fi-Fnk :: Steppin' Out (2006) [listen here]

+

Kudu :: Love Me In Your Language (2006) [listen here] / http://www.kudu2u.com

It's so coincidental. They're both electronic groups. The former in Stockholm and the later from New York, but these songs have an identical beat pattern. It's eerie.

Hungah by Karyn White is based on Donna Summer's Love To Love You
Karyn White's Hooked on U seriously is a Nasty Girl rip off.
Babyface's For The Cool In You kinda sounds like David Bowie's Golden Years
Portions of Mary Blige's The Love I Never Had sounds like Prince's I Hate U
1 of them Justin Timberlake songs is borrowed from 7779311 just like Pharrell's Angel (not sure of the title)
Again Babyface's chorus from Ev'rytime I Close My Eyes sounds like it's borrowed from Kiara's Ev'ry little Thing.

That's All 4 now, folks biggrin .

Prince's Lady Cab Driver and Ready 4 the World's Oh Sheila

Prince's 1999 and Phil Collin's Sussudio (I believe that even led to a lawsuit)

Michael Jackson's I Can't Help It(I think is the name of it) and Prince's What Do U Want Me 2 Do?

Damn. I don't see ANY resemblence to ANY of those songs with each other, especially Lady Cab Driver and Oh Sheila.

NorthernLad

Mr. Brightside by The Killers brazenly rips off part of Queen Bitch by David Bowie

Don't Look Back in Anger by Oasis is essentially All the Young Dudes by David Bowie re-written

To Germany With Love by Alphaville is similar to several Franz Ferdinand songs. They took their whole sound from that song, IMHO.

Given to Fly by Pearl Jam is very close to Going to California by Led Zeppelin

I guess because I'm a drummer and the LCD beat is so supreme and exclusive to that song that I don't hear the same with Oh Sheila.

In the songline though i hear a similarity .
And 1999 + Sussudio have similar chordgrips on the synths .

On "I Will Survive", the music right after the main chorus sounds alot like the "Rocky" theme music.

I feel D-Train's "Music" + "Hustle & Bustle Of The City" have more similarities with "You're The One For Me"

And "Keep Giving Me Love" sounds closer to "Keep On"
