"Let's Get It ON"- The best slow jam of all time?

I never get sick of this song and I've heard it a million times. Is there a song out there that beats it?

PS Anyone see "High Fidelity" when Jack Black surprises the crowd with his rendition? Pretty good flick.

Yes, love the movie moment. (In fact I just finished re-reading the book.)

But I gotta say Tenderness by Otis Redding beats it for me.

(That songs got a classic movie moment too, if you remember Duckie in the Record Shop in Pretty in Pink.)

I'm sick of it precisely because I've heard it way too many times. Just like Brick House, I've come to dislike both songs to an extent.

Yep.

I Like "Let's Get It On" but I'll take "Reasons" By Earth,Wind&Fire because it's twisted but works.

"How'Bout Us, by,Champaign

Ooh, short and sweet
No sense in draggin' on past our needs
Let's don't keep it hangin' on
If the fire's out, we should both be gone

Some people are made for each other
Some people are made for another for life, how 'bout us
Some people can hold it together
Last through all kinds of weather, tell me can we

"Let's Get It One" is one of the best songs of all-time,but I actually prefer the song "You Sure Love To Ball" (also from the 'Let's Get It On' album). When a song is played constantly,I find myself enjoying the lesser known songs more.I also love the songs "Come Get To This" and "Please Don't Stay (Once You Go Away)".Marvin was da man!!

I agree with you dave. it took me a looong time to get into "you sure love to ball". but one day I cranked it up in my car and then... btw, apart from enjoying the vinly, theres a great new cd release, a 2 cd set with alternate versions of the album as well as outtakes...
"Peace and Benz -- The future, made in Germany" peace
