I saw a preview for the movie and the music alone turned me off. Like what was said before, if it's on TV. it doesn't need to be on the movies. Simple as that. Plus when I found out that Colin and Jamie were both in this, it just sounded like all kinds of wrong. I think my Uncle will see it cause he loved the show when it was on but I expect him to say it was shit.  [Edited 6/3/06 10:13am] I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". Dayum y'all being real harsh on joint that hasn't come out yet. The Jay-Z/Linkin song is not gonna make or break the film.Who wants the pressure of trying to remake the classic theme? If remember correctly "in the air tonight" was year + when the tv show came out. The other tv/film movies bombed cause the tried to make certain joints into comedies(i spy,starsky& hutch,etc.) the others were just bad choices. "S.W.A.T" was watchable.Miami Vice will be watchable. From what I read of the script, the story line seems like the got some on point writers. After all,believe it or not, all these cop shows are emulating the grittines "Miami Vice" provided back in the 80s. Hell it's better than "TJ.Hooker" or "Fall Guy" . | |

the reason why its shit is because it doesnt have a proper movie score!!!
one of the major reasons why the tv series did so well and increased tourism to miami was the music itself combined with the tv series, Jan hammers music is great, if anyone wants to listen to the best stuff off the series just get the 2 cd ultimate collection, the fact that he made great tunes for each episode for 4 years straight took a lot of effort and the music worked perfect with the series, nowadays you got shitty composers with their crappy rock and rap mixes, name another person who could come up with crocketts theme???!! no one!! bring back the jan hammer!! at least he could score it now with modern beats and it would sound superb, | |

Perfect match. yeah, ok some people might think the songs were cheesy but i disagree, they are actually awesome instrumentals with great melodies and great layers of music, and only jan hammer can make a keyboard playing sound so much like a guitar! indeed perfect match! unlike the new movie!! generic beats over rubbish music! linkin park and jay z??? comon please!! what shite! | |
