After 9 weeks @ #1, even they thought enough was enough. Later [Edited 6/1/06 13:19pm] Well that must be a bullshit story someone leaked because does she (or anyone else) have to try and get the rights to it....if you cover it on the album, you just give credit and money to the songwriters, right? I didn't think there was any kind of rule about doing a cover. If she does do it, that album is going to be even worse than I thought.

It sounds like a commercial for a car or a cell phone. it really does, though i can't help but love the song anyway. though the ubiquity meter is starting to tick away, and i know i will be tired of them by the end of summer. I saw them on MTV earlier today. I'm getting a bit concerned, now... Ooh, little darlin' if you're

What I like about it is that it's one of the few black songs out there that I would call a song. The lyrics are intelligent, ironic, and C Lo's voice is great. I can maybe see how the one word chorus could grate on some, but I think you guys need to find better things to be annoyed by. James Blunt, maybe?

I don't like the song, for the reasons I stated earlier in this thread. If you do, then great. But don't tell me I'm wrong for not liking what YOU like. K? On Radio One Live Lounge they get given a choice of 3 songs, and pick one to cover. The three songs are almost always contemporary tracks. So no chance of them doing oldies.
Also, this isn't often mentioned on the show, but I remember when Artic Monkeys were on and did Girls Aloud's Love Machine, they said live on air they really didn't want to do it, but it was the best of those were given to choose from. I did really like Nelly's version though. She changed bits of the melody...

Also when Franz Ferdinand was on the show they picked Gwen's "What You Waiting For" and did a really good job.

I don't know what to say I really don't see how you can not like it ; a really powerful and emotive performance imo [Edited 6/2/06 0:31am] You should see the Jools Holland performance of the song. It's much better than the TOTP one. One of the most powerful performances I've seen on TV in years.

that means she would have had to have a baby at what? ten? she aint even reached thirty yet, has she? she became a mommy during her FOLKLORE period. you can see her all chubby and glowing in the "say what you want" video. she looked great, tummy poking out of her raincoats and trying to dance with all that baby meat taking up the tv screen , when she did the p.r. performances for the song in europe she still had her post-partum body (boobs were HUGE like Dolly Parton), but by the time the soccer-ish song FORCA came out, she lost alllll of her weight like nunthin' ever happened
