Word Up!

Winter is one of my favorite blues guitarists of all time. I love him to death. So did Muddy Waters.

Interesting that you'd bring him up (VC?) cool
I wonder what they played?

Unfortunately, Johnny Winter used to be a beast...

...Winter with Hendrix on bass.

From his initial release (1969)...

...It's My Own Fault, Mean Town Blues or Bad Luck and Trouble

From his 1st Columbia release (1969)...

...listen to I'll Drown in My Tears, Be Careful With a Fool or Good Morning Little Schoolgirl.

From Second Winter (1969)...

...check out Memory Pain, I'm Not Sure (w/Edgar) or Fast Life Rider.

And from one of the best dual guitar assaults of the early 70s, Johnny Winter And...

...(teamed with Rick Zehringer/Derringer) No Time To Live, Rock & Roll, Hoochie Coo (the definitive version) or Prodigal Son.

What you're gonna hear is a fierce guitar playin' and serious singin' SOB.

Fast forward to present day and co-worker of mine heard him when he was out supporting...

...I'm a Bluesman (2004)

According to him the years had definitely taken its toll on JW.
Said he'd lost his voice and the playing was sloppy.
I'm pretty sure he's got some health issues as he's joined the ranks...

...of "sit-down" players.

(VC?) Yeah, I was so blown away and practicing along with the tune, that I didn't think to check the title until the song had ended...

Not too long before you made the post I was communicating with VoiceCarry and his name came up.

Maybe the show has a playlist that will indicate what tune they played.
