missy's latest album, "Cookbook" aint all that. i think it's her worst work yet. when i bought the album and took a listen, i wasnt very pleased. i skipped alot on that album. i'm a very big missy elliot fan, i love her creativity and style. there's no other like her. i hope she comes out with another cd soon. hopefully better than the last.

i totally agree. her last cd cookbook wasn't very good. mediocre for her i thought. i also skipped quite a few tracks but "bad man" is the shit! what a hot track that is. having missy and mia on the same track is too much (i mean that in a good way). i also hope she releases something soon. she seems to put something out almost every year. let's just hope it's better than cookbook and maybe experiments with some new crazy sounds.

I bought that album and then returned it unopened. My sister bought the album with "Work It" and boy, was that a dud after the amazing "Miss E....So Addictive". I decided not to give her albums a chance after that and I'm glad she seems to be releasing a greatest hits set soon.

anyone own the real world(??) is it a good album? i remember it didnt do so good back then.

No, her first album is great! I have good memories of first discovering that album. That was the album that made me for Timbaland's production. I don't think his studio talents have gotten any better since then, but it's Missy and Tim at their very best.

The original name for the album as well. She had to change it in order to make the Gods at Wal-Mart happy enough to sell it.

I don't care a whole lot for Da Real World. It's way better than any of her post-Addictive albums, but compared to its predecessor, it's a kind of tepid follow-up, IMO.

I love that cut from it called "We Did It", though.
