First off I think Missy is one of the most talented, innovative artists i've ever heard of in any genre. I don't even necessarily consider her hip hop because of her diversity. She can't be pigeonholed. I think Miss E...So Addictive is without a doubt her peak album . It is almost flawless and since then i've heard people say she doesn't have it any more. Why? Her worst tracks are still better than most shite being played on the radio.

So what do you all think of her recent work? I must admit it's not quite as great as some of her older stuff but she's still hot to me. Also what do you think of the stuff she did prior to Miss E.....? I'm not familiar with that stuff. Please skool me.

Since you asked, I'll give my opinion. She's shit. Her raps are pathetic and she should stick to singing hooks on records like where she started. Just my opinion.

Missy is a good entertainer but her lyrics is so kindergarden.

I don't really get why people get so hype about her new projects. I think I own 2 or 3 SONGS by her, never a full album. It's pretty boring musically & lyrically. But I guess if you go to clubs & dance a lot maybe it's good for dancing

Not more than two years ago, she was a favorite of mine. I've lost interest. Didn't even buy her last album.

I dig Missy but she basically makes the same song over.....and over.....and over again. It's PLAYED OUT!

I think people who believe she's all-around uninteresting/repetitive or has at least been stuck in a rut somehow the past handful of years should check out her first three albums, as opposed to her last three. The likes of Supa Dupa Fly or ... So Addictive are so much more interesting and innovative than derivative works like ...Test! and Cookbook, and had she maybe continued in the creative direction she was going in on her third album over time instead of looking to the past and present for inspiration once Aaliyah died, she'd be looked at much more positively.
