A well past her prime Aretha still knows how to deliver a tune without the psycho-gyrations most of the present day wannabe divas fall victim to.

The album also includes the hit Freeway of Love.

Definitely not a New Wave album.

It's worth mentioning that the title should be "Who's Zoomin' WHOM?"

I just never get my due.

BUt the song sort of hinted of dance pop more than soul/R&B.

The best track on this album is "Another Night",a sizzling rock/pop song that took Aretha into Tina Turner territory. The other outstanding song is "Until You Say You Love Me",which should have been a single.

The bouncy sound is a bit like something you would find on an early Madonna record.

But the song sort of hinted of dance pop more than soul/R&B.

hmmm When you say dance-pop, Britney and Madonna come to mind.

I'll agree that the track was poppier but just the fact that she still sang it like Aretha kept a sufficient soul component present.

I agree and it's a great combination. Her vocals make it soul but the track is old school Madonna....couldn't imagine her singing it in the same arrangement at all.

The only thing I liked by her during this era was "Freeway Of Love". Like everyone else in 1985 and forward, her music was starting to go downhill. I liked her remake of "Jumpin' Jack Flash" about a year or two later. After that, I didn't care for any more of her music.

OK. On Sylvester's last album before he died, there was a Boni Boyer on there. Is that the same Boni that was with Prince?
