EmbattledWarri
or

its arguable but i believe The Soul Cages was Stings Lyrical and musical peak...
It's amazing ...
People don't like it because it was a dark album, Stings Father dying was the main topic
but i belieeve that sad notion made it great...

Only through the utmost anguish can people create phenominal things
anomally of life...

My favorite songs are Mad About You, When The Angels Fall and the Wild Wild Sea
cause i have Daddy issues too...
sad
I am a Rail Road, Track Abandoned
With the Sunset forgetting, i ever Happened

This is a very good cd.However,it is funny that you say it "rocks" because it is such a dreamscape kinda'a cd to me with sad and very thoughtful lyrics.2 faves are "wild wild sea" and "st agnes and the burning train".

well, true... it doesn't rock in the "rock and roll" sense... I meant it "Rocks" as in it's totally wonderful smile

At the time, it was the one that put me off Sting because he tends to be a bit too serious for my taste, and it was like overkill (and not melodic enough). But I'll dig it out and give it another chance.

yeah tis was an underrated record (at least popularity wise).

I always loved it because it felt 'thick' and 'dense'. I used to crank this cd LOUD when it came out. I saw the live tour for this record too at an outdoor venue on a nice spring night with a full moon overhead...very cool...probably my favorite Sting show that i've seen in person (i've seen him about 3 times)...
