American Idol WTF??? I guess they really want an emmy because I hvae NEVER seen an AI finale like this!
Al Jarreau Live Meatloaf Mary J Blige Toni Braxton Dionne Warwick Brokenote Cowboys PRINCE! Uh, I'm guessing artists have realized the amount of viewers that watch this show and want that exposure. I remember when AI first started, artists like Justin Timberlake and Alicia Keys were dissing it. Well you do have to factor in how many kids fourteen and older voted, it's still crazy to hear that amount. Now ow many will actually buy the album from the winner, runner up and the others voted off, I'm guessing the winner will be platinum at least. Jeux Sans Frontiers | |

I doubt that figure is 63 million PEOPLE. It's probably 63m votes, including ones from multiple voters. You are correct - 63 million votes, not people. I'm not saying we have enough people exercising their right to vote in elections, but we do have far too many people concerned with who wins the pageant!  | |

Can we be clear on this one and for all....It's not 63 million people. 63 million people don't even watch the show on a regular bais and the final only got under 40 million....It's 63 million votes.
