The Plimsouls

"A Million Miles Away" and "Everywhere At Once" are great songs. Anyone know if the debut album is similarly good? It has been remastered and reissued by Rhino.

You never cease to amaze me with some of the things you come up with. cool

Just the other day, after hearing the song on the radio, I was considering some kind of post on this tune.
One of the great 80s Power-Pop tunes. From the hip guitar parts to the great vocal hook and the energetic up vibe.

I'm not very familiar with the rest of their material but that tune is a standout.

That particular song does have that Jim/Roger McQuinn jangly-guitar thing happening.

Thanks. I wonder if I can listen online. All the stations in my area SUCK, although they are at least bereft of mainstream rap music.

L.A. has a few good genre-specific stations:

88.1 - KKJZ ( http://www.jazzandblues.org/listen/ ) - Traditional Jazz and Blues
92.3 - KHHT ( http://www.hot923.com/main.html) - "Old school and Today's R&B"
93.1 - KCBS ( http://www.931jackfm.com/ - JACK/fm (?) "We play what we want"
95.5 - KLOS ( http://www.955klos.com/) - Classic Rock
101.1 - KRTH ( http://www.k-earth101.com ) - 50s/60s/early 70s R&R/R&B
106.7 - KROQ ( http://www.kroq.com/) - Alternative Rock

All but 95.5 & 101.1 have streaming links.
