On The Audience's suggestion I got a cd copy of Time Exposure by Stanly.I am so glad I did.The sound quality is obviously better than a download, but I didn't realize how much!!That album is so underrated it's criminal! The playing on there is absolutely fantastic!

I also ordered Hideaway by stanley,but it hasn't come,yet.

Blunted in the Bombshell is a really great mix of vintage reggae from the Trojan Horse catalogue by Madlib.Really nice

I ordered Shades of Blue by madlib, but it's not here, yet.

I have a download of angles without edges by ynq,but I ordered the cd w/extra disc...also won the oop promo copy of stevie on ebay and have the commercial version coming.

Madlib on Worldwide oop cd of a 2004 live mix by Madlib on Gilles peterson show on BBC. Cool.

I downloaded some excellent podcasts online,too...riddimcast is a really fun podcast from itation of the lastest reggae and dancehall.excellent and free.

madlib 45's mix is a stones throw podcast of madlib mixing some of his favorite old school 45 singles.fantastic!!great mix of soul and funk.some i had heard like "escapism" by jb and lots of really excellent songs I had never heard!

moments in j is a dj podcast of fantastic jazz.I can't remember the site right now,but if I find it I will post it.Excellent.

transitions is a live mix podcast by john digweed of cool trance

dudley perkins..i downloaded his great album, expressions which is a combo of hip hop/soul..this guy talk-sings his stuff and it's great. I also downloaded a stones throw podcast hosted by dudley playing some of his cuts mixed w/great old soul records i had never heard before.

thank you,jay dee- super cool podcast mix of jay dee/j-dilla's productions.of course,he recently died and this is an appreciative and funky nod.

raconteurs--of course,i didg it.it's jack white.c'mon!

I was bidding on ebay for the oop cd pebbles rocks and sand by stanley..i got outbid..I REALLY want that, but it costs a mint!! Same with Children of Forever, and Modern man.Man,if anyone can hit me with cd-r copies I'd really be appreciative.
I also got outbid for a promo copy of kamaal the abstract cd.I hate getting outbid!!Ughh!!

another excellent mix that can be downloaded off the stones throw site is a Fresh Journey Into Crate Diggin'..it's a mix of jazz and warped funk with stuff by quasimoto(madlib on helium).

gilles peterson digs america-soul,soul,soul

I gotta get more rtf, gilles peterson mixes, carry On by Flora Purim for On The Lonely Afternoon and Mosaic selections by Duke Pearson..I nedd that cut,"Cristo Redemptor"..if that dosn't stir something inside you,I don't know how to cure you.

Guys, great jazz, rock, soul, funk, true hip hop, reggae, etc. is alive ,but you gotta turn off that radio! It's not on the radio!Unless it's college radio or just a special case, you are being held back.Like, for instance, hip hop is a true art form and there is a lot of creativity and intelligence for you to enjoy. The problem is that mtv, radio stations, corporations only promote the crap that is bs and negative.Turn that crap off.Dig deeper, man.I listen to stuff I feel Miles and Jimi would be digging. And there are vast oceaons of stuff for me left to discover.I'm just sad that I'll never have enough money, time, and grey matter to take it all in.I hope I can take my cd's with me when I die.
