Co-sign.
God Give Me Strenght by Elvis Costello is wonderful. I bought this double album around 9/11 and for some reason this song reminds me of that tragic day a long with The Windows of the World by the Pretenders.

Are you talking solo or work he's done with others? As prettymansson said, Dionne's 60s output is without fault!

Hmm, I guess I was thinking of his solo work, but I'm really not that familiar with any of it (although I'm sure I'll recognize more than I think), so if Dionne's work is the best way in, maybe I should start there.

He's not a great singer, so as Rip and prettymansson have suggested, Dionne Warwick has been his best vocal vehicle.

Additionally, if you're going to go the collections route, do not skip this one. It is essential and every bit as good as the above collection:

Burt is definetly not a good singer. I heard him sing once on some programme I was watching, and let's just say it is understandable why he is more of a song writer as opposed to an actual singer lol

Anything with Dionne.

Painted By Memory with Elvis Costello

One Less Bell To Answer - The Fifth Dimension.

The Look Of Love

Back in stone age days Burt used to be in these wine commercials with his then wife Angie Dickinson. It was like a mack daddy 70's P Diddy thing. It was kewl.

He has this million dollar chord change of Abmaj7 to Dm7/G in One Less Bell that is sweet.
