Well his career is gonna really slowdown sometimes. James Brown isn't touring anymore is he. Last time I heard him touring it was a small theater here in Houston.

Michael's not going to tour and be big forever. That day will come. When he can't sellout arenas in Germany we'll know it's time for him to retire.

'FRAID SO

Going by my calculations, 2007 MJ time actually means mid 2008 in real time.

You know, most artists make records without much fanfare:
1. Announce you're making an album
2. Enter studio
3. Cut tracks
4. Release record
5. Promote album

But if you're MJ, oh no, you have to:
1. Announce you're making an album
2. Promote album
3. Cut some tracks
4. Push back the release date
5. Cut some more tracks
6. Build a theme park
7. Push back the release date
8. Release a greatest hits package
9. Cut some more tracks
10. Announce it will be your last album
11. Adopt a kid
12. Announce plans for a feature film
13. Cut a few more tracks
14. Push back the release date
15. Re-record the entire album
16. Release Invincible barf

Did I miss anything? lol

If MJ says he's putting out an album next year, that means it will actually be released in 2012 or so.

SO if he rerecorded Invincible wwhat did he do witht he first tracks?

I'm going on his site and Napster and there are songs that were meant for Bad but never released on it. The sound pretty good, better than the stuff he does today. If he released an album of old unpublicized singles he could be on his way to make a comeback.

I think Papaa might be right about his schedule - it's reported today in the Mirror newspaper something about building a theme park in Ireland or Scotland !

I wish he would do a low key tour that just showcases his still great and unique voice and not his ability to dress up like a werewolf/clamber into a space rocket etc.

A few subtler songs in the style of Butterfiles, Break of Dawn and Heaven Can Wait shows the way he could go on his next album too. With any luck...

I would love to see him tour again, but everything that's happened...I don't know if it would be the wisest thing for him. For him personally, I mean.

He was supposed to be offered a weekly gig at Donald Trump's new casino. Apparently he didn't take it. It would be something though.

I wish he would sing live. As someone pointed out he does WBSS (and I think he sings it great) but then he can't sing Human Nature because he's out of breath. I suggest he stop with the big dance numbers (because he's nealry 50) and concentrate more on singing. I still think he has it in him to stand on stage with a microphone and blow everyone away. He's a really great vocalist, but too many people tell him how good he is at dancing (to the stage that he thinks he is better than he is, and his fans think he is better than he is) so he thinks it's better for him to do a whole show of dancing and miming rather than a whole show of singing. He's wrong, and I hope he realises this before he decides to perform live again. I mean, shit Michael, show us your voice!

He'll only tour if the album does well, and if it's going to be anything like his last album (which it probably will be), then I wouldn't hold my breath

Invincible was not given a chance. It, I mean Michael, was trashed by the critics. 99.9% of them critiqued Michael instead of the music. That album had some great songs-Butterflies, Break of Dawn, Heaven Can Wait, 2000 Watts, Whatever Happens, You Rock My World, Unbreakable and Threatened. All these songs needed was more airplay and videos. Even with all of the unprecedented and contrived negativity this album still did VERY well- over 2 million in the USA and around 11 million worldwide. EVERY artist would kill for those kind of numbers. If you are gullible enough to believe the bullshit from the media, you would think that this album was a failure. It debuted at #1(just as his three or four previous albums did). How many other artists haven't had nearly those type of numbers and the media claims that the album is a success? Just for the record, CRITICS do NOT make an album a success. I can almost guarantee you that most artists would rather have a hit album rather than a complete flop of an album that is a critical success. Some artists try to pretend that they don't want commercial success and we all know that is a cop-out. I have always hated when artists don't have the guts to admit that they want their album to be a hit.
NOBODY wants to do all of that work and not have an album that sells.

Should Michael tour? I certainly hope that he does tour. Of course, I will understand if he doesn't. The media is going to tear him apart, just as they ALWAYS have, whatever he decides to do. It's a case of damn if he DOES and damn if he DOESN'T. I can only say that when he came to my city with the BAD TOUR, it was incredible. I have never seen such a reaction to ANYONE'S tour as I did that one. If he does decide to tour, I think that it will be a limited tour.I would love to see an Unplugged performance or something on a small scale. Of course, the media will claim that he couldn't sell out arenas or some other crap.

QUESTION

:

Will Michael Tour?

ANSWER

:

Yes. As many Boy Scout Clubs that it takes until he reaches the true (ahem) "climax" of his career.

The album may not have been a failure, maybe because MJ fans will buy his new album just because he's MJ(including myself), but Invincible was definitely crappy. I'll give you You Rock My World, Heaven Can Wait, Break of Dawn, and Butterflies. The album definitely would've sold better if these had been released to radio and given videos. But the rest of it was terrible. He didn't deliver any good dance music, except YRMW, and the other fast paced songs were way too mechanical and just didn't do it for me and plenty others. It just wasn't that good.
