where's the music rappers, music.

Its the music of proverty stricken housing project living humans thats controlling our radio and ears of the youth. The music that glorifies crimes and thugatry some how inspires most of urban blacks [but now whites to]to take the lyrics literally, and have one goal in mind..To b a rapper. rappers brag about these conditions instead of insulting them. some rappers even living out their violent lyrics getting the streets confused with the stage. Some just cant seperate the two.And 4 those who say rappers arent violent or are not the cause for this recent surge of murdered rappers. well no one in the R AND B field has been killed.or the rock field or the country field. yet you have over 5 or 10 dead rappers this year.and god knows how many in jail. will we ever get back to playing instruments? i doubt it because learning to play is to much of a challenge. to easy to learn to rap.to exciting to b called a thug.what are we doing to our youth is setting them up for a musicless world.and pretty soon people if we dont get a grip.Where da music b u know verse bridge chorus.remember that.maybe not, but i tell you youngins, those were the days.some of those songs gave u goose bumps, and they actually used the word love.hell, thats how we got the babes back in the day with sensitivity not thugatry.

yep cause older stubborn people know everything.

You already have a bias, to hip hop, and you will argue anything anybody says, and then you classify rap as just one part of the genre(gangsta rap) when there is many other genre's of rap. From the backpack genre to the alt rap form, but since you already have a huge bias by already stating it aint music, why argue and waste time from my life you couldnt give back to me

I feel that there certain MC's/rap artists who do use real instruments and have subject matter beyond bling/strippers/money/guns, but they get overlooked beacuse Hip Hop is THE dominant genre in music, and when you're the biggest, it's easy to throw stones. Alot of that shit on the radio is just plain funny to me. But I choose not purchase it in favor of an artist that's going to move me. That's the beauty of music. Not everyone is doing the same thing. You have options. Use your filter and move on.

I'm not just talking about what sells, but what its doing to our community, the infleunce all its negativity has on our youth. If they were bathed in positve rap as opose to negative rap, can u say less killings/.and besides if the radio stop playing the negative rap postive rap would sell just as well.A lot of lives have been lost due to this sh-- U cant just filter and move on, u have to stand for something cause we are falling between the cracks following the leads of this rap culture. .

The title of this thread has the word music in it twice. Your first post asks where is the musicianship? NOW, you're wondering why rap is killing kids. Pick your fight and make a point.
